Title: Listening to the Parables of Jesus Again for the First Time
Presenter: Fr. Eugene Hansell, OSB
Date: January 7 – 11, 2019

Fr. Eugene Hensell, OSB is a Benedictine monk and associate professor of scripture at St. Meinrad Archabbey in Indiana. Fr. Eugene is a well-traveled and experienced retreat presenter and preacher. In addition, he is a prolific writer, scripture scholar, and has more than thirty years of teaching experience.

This retreat will focus on the primary way that Jesus chose to teach: the parable. We will consider what exactly a parable is and how it works. We will read and explore a selection of parables found in Sacred Scripture that Jesus used to teach others throughout his earthly ministry. There will be an emphasis on how the Christian life, in all its forms, should be parabolic by its very nature.

Fee: $450 (includes programming, meals, and lodging); Commuters: $350

Registration ends on December 31, 2018.
