The COVID-19 pandemic has been, and continues to be, immensely difficult for all of us – to say the very least. When we temporarily closed our campus to guests in March of 2020, many of you were asked to postpone long-standing plans with us so that we could do our part in slowing the spread of the virus. We are appreciative of all your understanding, flexibility, and support during those times.
In July of 2020, we took the first step toward resuming normal operations by introducing a new health and safety policy for our guests and scheduling a limited number of private retreats. We are pleased to announce that, following the success of these procedures and an upward trend in the number of vaccinated people, we are ready to unfurl our sails a bit more once again and progress toward resuming our normal operations. For those who are able to provide proof of vaccination, it will once again be possible to schedule daytime retreats and order food service for the duration of your stay at Nazareth Retreat Center on August 1, 2021. The same will be true of overnight, hosted retreats on September 1, 2021.
We ask for your continued understanding and cooperation with this gradual process. As such, our previous health and safety policies remain in effect. Masks and social distancing are mandatory. Guests experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, awaiting a COVID-19 test, or that have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last two weeks are not permitted on campus. And, while our availability regarding accommodations and meeting rooms are increasing, there will be limitations on capacity.
If you have any questions regarding this update, or would like to schedule a retreat in light of it, please feel free to reach out at nazarethretreatcenter@scnky.org or 502.348.1513. We are grateful that you have stayed with us throughout this process. We look forward to taking this step alongside you and returning to some of our favorite ways for our guests to experience hospitality in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
