Virtual Book Discussion (2), Facilitator Lisa Downs, The Seed Keeper written by Diane Wilson

September 13, 2022 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

$10.00

A haunting novel spanning several generations, The Seed Keeper follows a Dakota (Native American) family’s struggle to preserve their way of life, and their sacrifices to protect what matters most.  Weaving together the voices of four indelible women, the Seed Keeper is a beautifully told story of reawakening, of remembering our original relationship to the seeds and, through them, to our ancestors.

Diane Wilson is a Dakota writer who uses personal experience to illustrate broader social and historical context. Her new novel, The Seed Keeper, published by Milkweed Editions, March, 2021 was a finalist for the 2022 Minnesota Book Award for Fiction.

Lisa Downs has a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University New Orleans, a B.A. in Finance from U.K., certification as a Spiritual Director from Nazareth Retreat Center.
